hi my name is sarah!
I am a designer and creative and I am so glad you’ve made it to my site!
I grew up in San Antonio, Texas with five siblings, all of whom were home schooled by my courageous mom. I always thought I would end up being a nurse or a doctor because my parents were, but it all changed when I got a greeting card and stamp set for Christmas in middle school. I became enamored with the endless possibilities in creating my own cards. That little craft set is what started my love for design.
I graduated in December 2016 from John Brown University with a degree in Graphic Design. My choice to go to JBU remains one of the best and most fruitful decisions I have ever made in my life. There I had professors who took time in and outside of class to continue teaching and shaping me and and my classmates as designers and as people.
I currently live in the Arkansas Delta working for a non-profit design firm focused on community development through equitable education. I have learned more than I thought possible about design, privilege, and the intersection of art and education in my past year in the Delta.
SEABROOK WAFFLE CO.
Seabrook Waffle Co has been one of my favorite food spots for years, and after each visit I have been struck by how much their brand under-represents their incredibly unique business. With that in mind, I set out to design them a new brand that would embody their Seabrook spot and draw people in.
Mon Boulanger, my baker, is a small bakery started in Helena, Arkansas by a dear friend of mine. I wanted this brand to truly represent that its french roots.
